I'm Bea, a German/Dutch illustrator based in London.

My illustration journey began after the birth of my daughter, Sóley. Drawing her alongside a protective bear inspired my first collection, Soley and the Bear, which grew from a personal project into the foundation of my creative career.

My work moves between minimal line drawings and expressive floral illustrations. Some pieces are reduced to simple lines, stripes and rhythm, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own meaning. Others are bold, playful and full of colour, created for editorial, branding and licensing projects.

I'm drawn to themes of motherhood, nature, diversity and female empowerment. My illustrations celebrate everyday moments, quiet emotions and the beauty found in ordinary life.

Many of the women I illustrate have darker skin tones, reflecting the diversity I want to see represented in art. It's a natural part of my practice, creating work that feels inclusive, authentic and joyful.

Alongside creating collections of art prints, I collaborate with brands, publishers and creative businesses on illustration, licensing and commercial projects.
